• Must be an Indian citizen

• Must be a permanent resident of the concerned village/area

Property

• The candidate must have land or immovable property in his/her name within the area of appointment.

Children Criteria

• The candidate must not have more than 2 living children (whether from a single or multiple partners).

• Must submit a self-affidavit regarding this rule.

Government Employee

• The candidate must not be a government employee.

Political Party

• The candidate should not be a member of any political party.

Educational Qualification

• Must have passed 10th Standard / Matriculation from a recognized board.

Physical Fitness

• The candidate should be physically fit and of sound mind.

Insolvency

• The candidate must not have been declared insolvent or a defaulter of any government dues.
